Mahalia is originally from Michigan but practice in North Carolina for about two years after graduate school. She attended Western Michigan University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.  She has worked primarily in outpatient pediatrics, but has also completed clinical rotations in hospital and adult day program settings. She loves helping children and their families develop the skills necessary to increase independence and improve their day to day lives!  When not practicing, she enjoys hiking, reading, and hanging out with her dog Oliver!
